It was sure fun to have a full week of Spring Football training last week. We got better in a lot of areas and have installed many things offensively, defensively, and special teams wise. We are looking to clean up some areas this week and continue to install. It is nice to watch the guys compete in all phases. We will continue the same structure of practice times this week. The only differences are that we will not have the 9th graders attend practice Tuesday morning because of the Biology EOC Exam. Also, we will scrimmage the 9th graders in 1st block athletics during their athletic period on Thursday to help maximize repetitions for our younger players. All 2nd block athletic athletes will scrimmage after school on Thursday. This week we will also begin the prep work for our spring football fundraiser. This spring we are partnering with Group Fund to help with this. We will be sending home a football supporter contact sheet home with each player. We are asking the players to gather contact information for their biggest supporters i.e. “parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, family friends, business associates and neighbors.” The players will be given until Monday 5/9 to complete and turn in their form to their position coach. Our fundraiser kickoff event will be after school on Tuesday, 5/10 starting at 4:30 pm in the cafeteria and will be a player only event.
